The Saudi national team has surpassed its Iraqi counterpart, which dropped 3 places to occupy 59th place globally. On the Asian level, the Saudi national team is in 7th place.

The Saudi national team played two matches in March 2025, winning against China 1-0 and drawing with Japan 0-0, which contributed to this improvement.

The highest ranking achieved by the Saudi national team was in March 2004, when it ranked 21st globally, while the worst ranking was recorded in January 2012 when it was in 126th place.

Under the leadership of French coach Hervé Renard, the rankings of the Saudi national team have seen continuous changes, but there have not been any significant jumps either upwards or downwards.
