Cristiano Ronaldo Continues to Break Records in the Saudi League
Thursday 03-04-2025
With only 8 rounds remaining in the season, Cristiano Ronaldo continues to write a new chapter in his athletic career, leading the goal scorers in the Saudi League. With 19 goals, the Portuguese player surpasses his competitors Abdul Razak Hamdallah (17 goals) and Marcos Leonardo (17 goals), while Karim Benzema comes in fourth with 16 goals.

Last season, Cristiano set a new record in the Saudi League by scoring 35 goals in 34 matches, surpassing Abdul Razak Hamdallah who scored 34 goals in the 2018-2019 season. Since joining Al-Nassr in December 2022, he has continued to break records.

After scoring 68 goals in 91 matches so far, Ronaldo is close to entering the list of the top 10 goal scorers in the history of the Saudi League this century. The record in this category is 70 goals, held by Cameroonian Leandre Tawamba.

Ronaldo is also on the verge of achieving a historic milestone by reaching his 1,000th career goal. With 930 goals so far, he only needs to score 70 more to reach this incredible figure.

Despite the numerous achievements he has made, Cristiano still faces the challenge of breaking difficult records. Among them is the record for the most matches played in the Saudi League (220 matches) held by Brazilian Elton, in addition to the attempt to reach 250 goals with Al-Nassr, a record held by Majed Abdullah.

Ronaldo continues his journey in the Saudi League, achieving remarkable accomplishments and heralding more records that may be added to the history of global football.
