Bicero: I Want to Achieve the Confederation Title
Jose Mourinho, the coach of Zamalek, confirmed that his goal is to win the African Confederation Cup.
Zamalek will face Stellenbosch from South Africa tomorrow, Wednesday, in the first leg of the quarter-finals of the African Confederation Cup.
Bicero said at the pre-match press conference: "Tomorrow's match will be tough, and this encounter is over two matches. The Stellenbosch team was established a few years ago, they are organized on the field, and they have good players and a good coach. Certainly, the opponent wants to win and continue in the competition."
He added: "Zamalek is looking to achieve victory in tomorrow's match and deliver a good performance to take a step towards qualifying for the next round."
Bicero continued: "We are looking to achieve a positive result in the first leg against Stellenbosch. Football in South Africa has developed, and the pitches here are very good. When I played against the South African national team in the last Africa Cup of Nations semi-finals, it was a tough match, and there were 8 players from one team in the starting lineup of the South African team, and there was organization on the field."
He concluded: "I have not won any titles with Zamalek, but I want to achieve the Confederation title with the team so that Zamalek can win the title for two consecutive seasons. We will focus on tomorrow's match to achieve a positive result. We have followed the Stellenbosch team closely before facing them, and we will fight to achieve the best result in tomorrow's match.
