Barcelona in Trouble: Corruption Allegations and Financial Crisis Threaten Plans

FC Barcelona has encountered a new financial crisis that could greatly affect its plans for the upcoming summer transfer market, amid suspicions regarding the legitimacy of some of its financial dealings.

According to the Spanish newspaper "AS", the club's auditor has refused to count 100 million euros, generated from the sale of VIP seats at the Camp Nou, as part of the club's assets, asserting that they are not real assets.

This decision threatens the club's compliance with the 1/1 rule established by La Liga, which allows it to spend one euro for every euro saved.

Additionally, La Liga has expressed doubts about the legality of selling 475 VIP boxes to two companies from Dubai and Qatar, amid allegations of potential fraud in the transaction.

The Catalan club is facing a new financial predicament that adds to its previous crisis, which affected its ability to register players, as was the case last January when attempting to register Dani Olmo and Pau Victor.

Despite these crises, Barcelona remains at the top of the La Liga standings with 66 points, leading by three points over rivals Real Madrid after 29 rounds.
