The Spanish Football Federation has announced the appointment of referee Alberola Rojas to officiate the match between Real Madrid and Real Sociedad in the second leg of the Copa del Rey semi-finals, which will take place tomorrow, Tuesday, at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium at 9:30 PM Cairo time. Trujillo Suarez will be responsible for the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) during the match.

Alberola has stirred controversy among Real Madrid fans due to his name being associated with the Negreira case, but he has previously officiated three matches for the royal team in the Copa del Rey, all of which ended in victories for the club, including two matches this season against Deportivo Minera 5-0 in the Round of 16, and Leganés 3-2 in the quarter-finals.

On the other hand, Alberola Rojas has officiated one match for Real Sociedad in the Copa del Rey, which was in the Round of 16 of the 2021/2022 season when the Basque team defeated Atletico Madrid 2-0.

Real Madrid enters the match with the advantage of a 1-0 win in the first leg, while Real Sociedad aims to overturn the result and secure a spot in the final. The match is expected to be intense between the two teams, given their desire to qualify for the final.
