Roma Interested in Contracting Pioli
Reports have confirmed that Italian club Roma is interested in hiring Stefano Pioli, the coach of Al Nassr, to succeed Claudio Ranieri, who will leave his position at the end of the current season.
The "Voce Giallorossa" network reported that journalist Gianluca Di Marzio stated that Pioli is one of the leading candidates for the managerial position at Roma.
Di Marzio added: "He is definitely one of the names on the list, but I don't know if he will ultimately be chosen. However, I believe he is a strong candidate for two reasons."
He mentioned that the first reason is the good relationship between Pioli and Ranieri.
He continued that the second reason is that during the current season, before hiring Juric and immediately after the dismissal of De Rossi, the club's owners contacted Pioli and tried to convince him to meet with them secretly in Parma by traveling by plane, to prevent him from signing with Al Nassr.
He pointed out: "So, if there was a conviction at that time that he was the right man, and now there is Ranieri who appreciates him, I believe an attempt may be made to appoint him."
