Real Madrid continued the battle for the La Liga title with a 3-2 victory over Leganés in round 29, in a match held on Saturday at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.

Real Madrid raised its tally to 63 points in second place, temporarily equal with Barcelona, while Leganés remained at 27 points in eighteenth place.

Real Madrid took the lead through Kylian Mbappé in the 32nd minute, converting a penalty awarded to Arda Güler successfully into the net.

In the 34th minute, Leganés equalized with a goal from Diego García, and then Daniel Raya added a second goal in the 41st minute of the first half.

In the 47th minute, Real Madrid scored the equalizer after a shot from Bellingham was deflected by the goalkeeper, followed by Díaz who attempted to clear it, but it hit the crossbar and was then followed up by Jude Bellingham into the net.

Rodrygo earned a direct free kick on the edge of the penalty area, played between him and Fran García, before Kylian Mbappé scored into the net in the 47th minute of the match.
