Al Sheikh Attacks Jorge Jesus
Talal Al Sheikh, the former president of Al Shabab, attacked Jorge Jesus, the coach of Al Hilal, who has been linked with the coaching position of the Brazilian national team.
The Brazilian Football Confederation dismissed Dorival Junior from coaching the national team after the loss against Argentina with a score of 4-1 in the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.
Reports have indicated that Jesus is the leading candidate to coach the Brazilian national team, and the Portuguese coach has shown his willingness to sacrifice his participation with Al Hilal in the FIFA Club World Cup in order to be with the Seleção.
Talal Al Sheikh stated on the program "Sports Scope": "Jesus must respect his contract with Al Hilal, but some are asking why he doesn't leave like Ferreira, the Al Shabab coach, who moved to coach Wolverhampton."
He clarified: "There is no coach that all elements of the game will be satisfied with, but Jesus is a distinguished coach with a strong charisma and high technical thinking, and his departure at this time would be a gamble for Al Hilal."
He added: "I hope that the public's emotional attachment is not the reason for his departure from Al Hilal. Jesus is a good coach, and with some reinforcement before the Club World Cup, we might see Al Hilal in a distinguished form, as we hope as Saudis that the nation will be represented well in the tournament."
