UEFA Opens Investigation into Real Madrid Players Due to Atletico Match

The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has announced the opening of an official investigation into several Real Madrid players following their controversial celebrations after the match against Atletico Madrid in the second leg of the Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League.

Real Madrid secured their place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League after winning against Atletico Madrid in a penalty shootout at the Metropolitano Stadium.

UEFA clarified in its statement that the investigation includes Antonio Rudiger, Dani Ceballos, Vinicius Junior, and Kylian Mbappe, due to the manner of their celebrations at the end of the match.

Reports indicate that Rudiger will be investigated for making provocative gestures, while Vinicius faces accusations of interacting with Atletico Madrid fans before and after the match, in addition to Mbappe, who celebrated in a way deemed inappropriate by the opposition.
