Alonso Fuels Speculation About His Future with Bayer Leverkusen

Spanish coach Xabi Alonso, of German club Bayer Leverkusen, has stirred controversy regarding his future with the team following his recent statements hinting at the possibility of leaving at the end of the current season.

Alonso's contract with Leverkusen ends at the conclusion of the season, amid strong reports linking him to the coaching position at Real Madrid, especially with speculations about Carlo Ancelotti's departure from the Merengues to take over the Brazilian national team after the 2025 Club World Cup.

Xabi Alonso stated in his remarks: "My future? I haven't made any decision yet, simply because there is nothing to decide at this moment."

He added: "The situation is different from last season, when I had to make an important decision, but now there is nothing that requires that, and that's the big difference."

The Spanish coach concluded his remarks by saying: "My focus is entirely on this season, and we still have a lot to achieve with Bayer Leverkusen."

Real Madrid is considered the most prominent club interested in signing Xabi Alonso, especially given his impressive performance this season with Leverkusen and the remarkable results he has achieved in the Bundesliga.
