Al Ahly Withdraws from League Withdrawal
Khaled Al-Ghandour, the former Zamalek star, confirmed that Al Ahly has decided to continue in the Premier League following the rejection of its complaint by the Olympic Committee regarding the summit match.
Al-Ghandour stated in television remarks: "Al Ahly has settled after a Zoom meeting of the Board of Directors to participate in the league competition due to a recommendation from the Football Company."
He added: "The Football Company confirmed to Mahmoud El-Khatib that withdrawing from the league would lead to significant financial losses due to sponsors, broadcasting revenues, and other items."
Meanwhile, the Red Giant is preparing to face Sudan's Al Hilal on Tuesday, April 1st, in the first leg of the African Champions League quarter-finals.
