Union Training Prepares Stars for Critical Matches

The Union team intensified its training on Wednesday evening at its home ground in Jeddah, where the players engaged in a strong 60-minute scrimmage, with the participation of several youth players, in preparation for the anticipated match against the Lions.

According to press reports, French coach Laurent Blanc supervised the scrimmage, introducing defender Abdulilah Al-Amri, who returned from a groin injury, during the first half, while the second half saw the participation of full-back Fawaz Al-Suqoor, who recently recovered from a hamstring injury.

In a notable move, Blanc preferred to conduct an internal scrimmage instead of a friendly match against a first-division team, aiming to test the players' readiness and determine the ideal lineup before the awaited derby.

On his part, Albanian defender Mario Mitaj closely followed the training after returning from London, where he underwent surgery to treat a lower abdominal muscle injury, indicating that he is close to resuming training.

These preparations come amid an enthusiastic atmosphere, as Union aims to achieve victory in the upcoming match, driven by a strong desire to enhance its position in the competition, making the encounter a focal point for fans and analysts.
