Egyptian star Mostafa Mohamed, player of the French club Nantes, has apologized to the coaching staff of the Pharaohs led by Hossam Hassan for his actions during the match against Sierra Leone last Tuesday in the sixth round of the first group of the Asian qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup.

It is worth noting that Mostafa Mohamed used inappropriate language after being substituted against Sierra Leone last Tuesday.

According to sources, Mostafa Mohamed expressed his deep regret for his nervousness during the substitution, adding that he did not intend to object or show any displeasure towards the coaching staff, but rather due to his strong desire to contribute positively to the national team.

He explained that his behavior stemmed from his wish to deliver an impressive performance while representing Egypt.

He also emphasized that he holds great respect and appreciation for the coaching staff, and the incident that occurred during the Sierra Leone match was merely a moment of frustration on the field, as he prioritizes the interests of the national team above all else.
