A New Crisis Awaits the Al Ahly vs. Pyramids Match
Ahmed Hassan, the former Zamalek star, revealed a new crisis awaiting the Al Ahly vs. Pyramids match scheduled for April 12 in the Premier League.
He stated on Facebook: "Due to foreign referees.. a new crisis awaits the Al Ahly and Pyramids match in the league, so far there have been no official communications from the parties involved in the match or the Clubs Association."
He added: "Firstly.. Al Ahly, due to not clarifying its position on continuing the league, has not communicated with the Egyptian Football Association to request foreign referees for the match. Secondly.. the same applies to Pyramids, which has not officially requested foreign referees for the anticipated encounter."
He continued: "Thirdly and finally.. the Clubs Association, which is responsible for organizing the competition, has not communicated with the Football Association to request foreign referees for this match, except for the previous letter requesting 3 referees for Al Ahly's matches with Zamalek and Pyramids with the two teams, which was not implemented in the summit match due to time constraints, as clarified by the Football Association."
He concluded: "Therefore, we are set for a new crisis due to refereeing in the upcoming Al Ahly and Pyramids match."
