Onana Clarifies His Position on Moving to the Saudi League

Wednesday 26-03-2025
Cameroonian player André Onana, goalkeeper for Manchester United, has clarified his stance on the offers presented to him for a move to the Saudi Roshan League during the upcoming summer transfer window, following a season marked by inconsistent performances with the Red Devils.

According to ESPN, Onana is not considering leaving Manchester United, even if he receives an enticing offer from the Saudi league, affirming his commitment to the team unless the club decides to part ways with him.

At the same time, Ruben Amorim, the head coach of Manchester United, is looking to refresh the squad for the upcoming season, which could impact Onana's future.

Reports have indicated that the club's management is contemplating signing a new goalkeeper during the summer, especially with the departure of third-choice keeper Tom Heaton at the end of the season, and the uncertainty surrounding the future of second-choice goalkeeper Altay Bayındır.

Manchester United had signed Onana in the summer of 2023 from Inter Milan, on a contract that runs until 2028, in a deal worth £43.8 million.
