The Spanish Refereeing Committee announced the appointment of referee Sergio Busquets Ferrer to officiate the postponed match between Barcelona and Osasuna, scheduled to take place on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at the Montjuïc Stadium, at 10 PM Cairo time.

Ferrer had been appointed to the match earlier before it was postponed due to the death of a Barcelona club doctor. This will be his second match with Barcelona this season, following his officiating of the team's match against Villarreal in the sixth round, which ended in a significant victory for the Blaugrana, 5-1.

Since his promotion to the first division, Ferrer has officiated three matches for Barcelona, all of which ended in victories for the Catalan team. Meanwhile, he has officiated three matches for Osasuna, where the team achieved two victories and suffered one defeat, the latest being in the Copa del Rey when Osasuna defeated Athletic Bilbao 3-2.
