Media figure Khaled Al-Ghandour attacked Marcel Koller, the coach of Al-Ahly, following the team's loss to Tala'ea El-Gaish yesterday, Monday, in the Cairo Capital Cup, leading to their exit from the tournament.

Al-Ahly lost to Tala'ea El-Gaish with a score of 3-1 in the third round of the Cairo Capital Cup, thus ending their participation in the tournament.

Al-Ghandour stated via "On Sport FM": "I don't know what Koller is doing. He is ruining the players."

He added: "Tomorrow, Al-Ahly will play a friendly match against Zed. So what's the problem if the players play against Tala'ea El-Gaish instead of burning the 2005 players and playing with them instead of Maaloul? It's natural for Al-Ahly to lose."

He continued: "I am saddened that the youth sectors in clubs like Al-Ahly and Zamalek are not like they used to be; the levels have dropped in a strange and astonishing way."
