Al Ahly Files Appeal Against League Sanctions
Ahmed Hassan, the former Zamalek star, revealed a new decision made by Al Ahly's management after the league sanctions imposed on the club.
Ahmed Hassan stated on Facebook: "Urgent: Al Ahly has officially filed an appeal against the league's sanctions for the match against Zamalek to the Appeals and Grievances Committee of the Egyptian Football Association."
It was scheduled for a match between Al Ahly and Zamalek to take place on Tuesday, March 11, as part of the Premier League, but Al Ahly did not attend the match and insisted on postponing it and bringing in foreign referees to officiate.
As a result, Al Ahly was considered to have withdrawn from the match, leading to a deduction of 3 points from their league total.
