Sunday 23-03-2025
The French Football Federation is preparing to honor star Olivier Giroud, the Los Angeles FC striker and former captain of the French national team, in recognition of his exceptional career with Les Bleus.

According to French newspaper "L'Équipe", a ceremony to honor Giroud will take place today at the Stade de France, prior to the second leg of the UEFA Nations League quarter-final match between France and Croatia. This honor comes in celebration of his achievement as the top scorer in the history of the French national team with 57 goals, alongside his continued performance at the highest international levels.

Giroud had officially announced his retirement from international play after France's participation in the Euro 2024 tournament, thus concluding a remarkable career with Les Bleus.

During the current season, Olivier Giroud has participated in 10 matches with Los Angeles FC across all competitions, scoring a single goal.
