Real Madrid Fans Demand New Signings

A survey conducted by the Spanish newspaper "AS" showed that Real Madrid fans are calling for reinforcements for the team, particularly in the full-back positions and a defensive midfielder, while they believe that the attacking line does not require significant additions.

Over 29,000 fans participated in the survey, and the results indicated that 28% of them see the right-back position as the most in need of strengthening, especially with Dani Carvajal returning from a serious injury and the possibility of Lucas Vázquez leaving. It is expected that Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold will join the team on a free transfer to bolster this position.

The second most requested position was the left-back, with 23%, despite Ferland Mendy's contract renewal until 2027 and the presence of Fran García. However, fans were hoping to sign Alphonso Davies, but the player decided to stay with Bayern Munich.

Meanwhile, 22% of the fans believe that Real needs a new midfielder to compensate for the departure of Toni Kroos, with Martin Zubimendi from Real Sociedad being the most prominent candidate for this position.

Although there is talk of the need for a new defender at 18%, the promotion of Marco Asensio from the reserve team may reduce the likelihood of signing a new player in this position. As for the attacking positions, forwards and midfielders received only 3% of the votes, while the goalkeeper position ranked last with less than 1%, reflecting the fans' confidence in the current goalkeepers.

It is expected that Real Madrid's activity in the transfer market will depend on the results of the current season, but it is clear that fans are calling for defensive reforms to strengthen the team's power in the upcoming seasons.
