Napoli Targets Lille Winger to Replace Kvaratskhelia
Saturday 22-03-2025
According to "Corriere dello Sport," Napoli has placed Kosovo winger Edon Zhegrov, a player from French club Lille, at the top of their priorities in the summer transfer market, to compensate for the departure of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to Paris Saint-Germain.

Napoli had shown interest in Zhegrov during the winter transfer window, but Lille refused to part with the 25-year-old player in the middle of the season. With Kvaratskhelia's departure, Napoli is in need of strengthening their attacking line with a strong signing.

Reports indicate that Zhegrov is open to the idea of moving to Napoli, paving the way for negotiations to resume between the two clubs. Coach Antonio Conte is also showing particular interest in signing him, as sporting director Giovanni Manna works to finalize the deal.

Lille is expected to ask for between 20 and 25 million euros to let go of the player, whose contract expires in 2026, to avoid losing him for free. Zhegrov has participated in 21 matches this season, scoring 8 goals and providing 2 assists.
