Islam Al-Shater, a former Al-Ahly star, responded to these statements on 'On Sport' channel, saying: 'Al-Ahly is number one in Egypt and the Arab world, followed by Zamalek and then Ismaily.'
He added: 'Let's not talk about the Arab world, but in Egypt. I'm talking about Al-Ahly's popularity; its fan base is the largest in Egypt.'
He continued: 'I don't want to talk, but if I do, the truth is that it has the highest advertisements, championships, and people's love comes from loyalty and titles. Al-Ahly is the club that wins the most championships.'
