
Morocco Overcomes Niger in World Cup Qualifiers
The match between Morocco and Niger, held today as part of the fifth round of the African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, ended with Morocco winning 2-1.
Niger took the lead through Youssef Oumarou in the 48th minute, and Ismail Sabari equalized for Morocco in the 60th minute. Then, in the 90+2 minute, Bilal Khannous added the second goal for Morocco.
With this result, Morocco's tally rises to 12 points at the top of their group standings, while Niger remains at 3 points in fourth place.
Morocco will face Tanzania in the sixth round of the qualifiers next Tuesday, March 25th.
