Gabri Vega Talks About Joining the Saudi League
Gabri Vega, the star of Al Ahli Saudi, confirmed that his joining the Roshan Saudi League was not for money.
The Spanish star has been performing exceptionally well with Al Ahli since his arrival, having played 54 matches, scored 10 goals, and made 9 assists.
Vega said in an interview with the Spanish newspaper "Marca": "Some considered my transfer to the Saudi league a surprise, but it was a suitable step for me. I am happy with this decision, even though it was not easy."
He added: "Despite the criticisms, it was not about the money."
He continued: "The only difficulty I faced was adapting to the new atmosphere and the completely different climate."
He confirmed: "Over time, I got used to it and became more comfortable, especially in the current season where I am participating more regularly."
He added: "Playing alongside stars played a role in finalizing my decision, as the move to Al Ahli was an opportunity to be alongside players I have always admired, like Riyad Mahrez, the former City star, and Roberto Firmino, the former Liverpool star."
He emphasized: "I wished to be on the same team with them, which is something priceless."
