Koubarci: Raphinha Deserves the Ballon d'Or for 2025
Spanish defender Pau Koubarci of FC Barcelona praised his Brazilian teammate Raphinha, considering him the most deserving of the Ballon d'Or for 2025, given his outstanding performance this season.
In his statements, Koubarci said: "Currently, looking at what he is offering this season, I would award the Ballon d'Or to Raphinha."
When asked if his teammate Lamine Yamal might be upset by this choice, Koubarci confidently replied: "Lamine would also say Raphinha."
Raphinha is having an exceptional season with Barcelona, having participated in 42 matches across all competitions, scoring 27 goals and providing 20 assists, making him one of the top contenders for the most prestigious individual award in the world.
Meanwhile, Lamine Yamal continues to shine as well, having played 38 matches with the Catalan team, scoring 13 goals and making 17 assists.
It is worth mentioning that Spanish international player Rodri, star of Manchester City, was awarded the Ballon d'Or for 2024 after delivering an amazing performance with his team and national squad.
