Union Announces Success of Metai's Surgery and Reveals His Return Date

The Saudi Union Club announced that its left-back, Albanian Mario Metai, has undergone successful surgery in the British capital, London, to recover from a chronic injury he has recently suffered from.

The club confirmed that the surgery was successful, as it was performed to address the player's injury in the adductor muscle.

Metai will head to the Greek capital, Athens, to start a therapeutic and rehabilitation program before returning to Jeddah.

After completing the first phase of rehabilitation, the player will continue his recovery at the club's clinic, under the supervision of the medical staff.

The club clarified that the date of Metai's return will be determined later, based on his response to treatment and his complete absence of pain.

The player had been suffering from recurring and bothersome pain in the adductor muscle, which necessitated a decisive surgical intervention to end his suffering.
