Barcelona Rejects the Date for the Postponed Osasuna Match
Sunday 16-03-2025
The Spanish club Barcelona expressed its rejection of the proposed date by La Liga for its postponed match against Osasuna, which is part of the league competitions.

The match was postponed, which was initially scheduled to be held on March 8, due to the death of the team doctor, Carles Minarro.

According to what was reported by the Spanish radio station COPE, the Spanish Football Federation and La Liga proposed to hold the match on March 27, but Barcelona rejected this date due to the absence of Raphinha and Ronald Araújo because of their international commitments with the national teams of Brazil and Uruguay.

Additionally, a large number of the team’s players will be engaged in participating with their national teams during the international break, which means that holding the match on this date would deprive them of the necessary rest after the international commitments.

Barcelona also has another option to hold the match during the weekend designated for the Copa del Rey final, specifically on April 27, if the team exits the tournament.

However, if Barcelona succeeds in reaching the final of the Copa del Rey and the UEFA Champions League, the only available date would be May 21, just three days before the final round of the Spanish league.

Barcelona currently occupies the second position in the Spanish league standings, with 57 points, three points behind the leader Real Madrid, although the team still has a postponed match, alongside a crucial match against Atlético Madrid today.
