Ranieri Issues Public Warning to Roma Player
The veteran Italian coach Claudio Ranieri, the head coach of Roma, issued a public warning to the team's Ukrainian striker Artem Dovbik.
Ranieri said: "I don't want to believe that he has given up, but he needs to show me that in training and in everything else. If he has given up, I have 25 other players who want to play."
He continued: "I substituted him against Athletic Bilbao when I saw it was the right decision; I noticed they were attacking, and by bringing on Soli, I strengthened the team's structure, leaving Dybala as a forward point, which Dovbik couldn't do."
He added: "I expect a lot from him; he needs to react and show his abilities as a player. I believe in him, but he needs to believe in us."
