Ahmed Hassan, the former Zamalek star, revealed Al Ahly's position on completing the league with young players.
Al Ahly had refused to play the summit match against Zamalek last Tuesday in the first round of the decisive phase of the Premier League.
Al Ahly demanded to postpone the match and bring in foreign referees to officiate it instead of Egyptian referees, and the club's management threatened not to continue the league if its requests were not met.
Ahmed Hassan stated on Facebook: "One of the members of Al Ahly's board proposed completing the league with young players to avoid financial penalties.. However, the board rejected and confirmed that the board's decision is not to complete the league at all."
