Ahmed Hassan, the former Zamalek star, confirmed that the Al-Ahly Board of Directors held an urgent meeting due to the summit match crisis.
Ahmed Hassan stated via Facebook: "An urgent meeting of the Al-Ahly Board is currently taking place at the Gezira branch, attended by Captain Mahmoud El-Khatib."
On another note, Al-Ahly is preparing to face its counterpart Enppi on March 20 as part of the Cairo Capital Cup (League Cup) competition.
The match between Al-Ahly and Enppi will kick off at 9:30 PM Cairo time and 10:30 PM Mecca time.
