Riyadh President Attacks Refereeing
Bander Al-Muqail, the president of Al-Riyadh Club, attacked the refereeing in the match against Al-Ittihad that took place yesterday, Thursday, during the 25th round of the Saudi League, which ended with Al-Ittihad winning 2-1.
Al-Muqail pointed out the incorrectness of the penalty kick from which Al-Ittihad scored their second goal.
He added during the program "Dourina Ghair": "I do not understand how the referee awarded a penalty kick in this manner, in addition to the excessive stoppage time, the foul was committed against the Al-Ittihad player, not the other way around."
He continued: "I do not like to talk about refereeing, but what happened is difficult and can be seen by all analysts."
He noted: "We did not deserve to lose in this manner, and I do not understand how VAR does not intervene positively in contentious situations."
He concluded: "Even Al-Ittihad's first goal started with a foul in favor of Ibrahim Baish, Al-Riyadh's player, which was not called."
