The management of Wydad Athletic Club held an urgent meeting with coach Rulani Mokwena to discuss the reasons behind the recent series of draws that have affected the team's standings in the Moroccan league.

Wydad has dropped to third place with 42 points after drawing against both Meknes Club and Renaissance Berkane, as well as Rabat's Al-Fath, which has caused dissatisfaction among the management, who consider being in second place a frustrating situation.

According to informed sources, Wydad officials expressed their anger to Mokwena, insisting on the need for the team to get back on track with victories and secure a spot in the African Champions League. Nevertheless, the management confirmed the continuation of the South African coach, considering him an essential part of the club's project.

The management also emphasized the need for the team to focus in the upcoming matches, starting with the anticipated match against Ittihad Tangier while avoiding any clashes with the fans.

The match between Wydad and Ittihad Tangier will take place on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at 12 AM Cairo time.
