It has been officially confirmed that Raja Club Athletic will not receive any financial return from the transfer of Mahmoud Bentayki to the Egyptian Zamalek, after the latter activated the purchase clause in the player's contract from the French club Saint-Étienne during the current transfer period.

Zamalek had loaned Bentayki in the summer of 2024, before deciding to permanently buy his contract for 1.2 billion cents. Although the player previously played for Raja two seasons ago, the Moroccan team will not receive any return from this deal.

The reason for this is Bentayki's transfer to Saint-Étienne in the summer of 2023, where the French club paid 600 million cents to break the release clause in his contract with Raja, which resulted in the Moroccan club losing any future rights in subsequent transfers.

Bentayki participated in 21 matches with Zamalek across various local and international competitions, scoring one goal and providing three assists, making him one of the important players in the white team's lineup.
