
Patrice Motsepe Continues to Lead CAF
South African Patrice Motsepe has officially won the presidency of the African Football Confederation (CAF) for another term during the extraordinary general assembly held today, Wednesday, March 12, 2025, in Egypt.
Motsepe managed to win the presidency of CAF for the second consecutive time unopposed, continuing his leadership of African football after an initial term that began in 2021.
The general assembly witnessed the presence of several prominent figures in football, most notably:
Gianni Infantino: President of FIFA.
Hani Abou Rida: President of the Egyptian Football Association.
Samuel Eto'o: President of the Cameroonian Football Federation.
With this victory, Motsepe continues in his role as the eighth president in the history of CAF, amidst significant ambitions to develop football on the African continent in the upcoming phase.
