Kompany: We have proven our strength, and we are excited to face Inter Milan

Bayern Munich successfully secured its place in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League after defeating Bayer Leverkusen 2-0 in the second leg, confirming its superiority after winning the first leg 3-0, achieving a deserved victory with an aggregate score of 5-0.

After the match, Bayern Munich's head coach, Vincent Kompany, expressed his happiness with his team's performance, praising the players' mentality and their determination to win and qualify for the next round.

Kompany said: "I think the players have once again proven how hungry they are for success. We are happy with the victory and qualification, but we don’t want to over-celebrate, as the upcoming challenges are still significant."

He added: "In the first half, we played our usual high-pressing style, and we had good offensive spread. We knew that Leverkusen would not give us many chances, but we were decisive in the crucial moments."

He continued: "In the second half, we delivered an organized and effective performance against a strong attacking team. We defended well, controlled the crosses, and remained dangerous on the counterattacks. There was a perfect balance between defense and attack, and that made me very happy."

Regarding the upcoming match against Inter Milan in the quarter-finals, he said: "I am very excited about this matchup; it will be a strong confrontation against a formidable opponent with great experience in the tournament. But before that, we have some important matches that we need to focus on. My role as a coach is to prepare for each match individually, and we will be fully ready when the time comes to face Inter."
