Al Ahly Covers Match Ticket Costs, Zamalek Resumes Training
The board of directors of Al Ahly Club, headed by Mahmoud El Khatib, has decided to bear the costs of the tickets for Al Ahly fans for the canceled summit match against Zamalek.
It is worth mentioning that Mahmoud Basyouni, the referee of the summit match, blew the final whistle; on Tuesday evening, after a 20-minute delay due to the Al Ahly team's failure to arrive at Cairo International Stadium.
Al Ahly Club revealed in a statement that the executive management has been tasked with contacting the Ticketing Company in the coming hours to determine the legal method for refunding the ticket costs to their owners.
In the same context, Portuguese coach José Peseiro of Zamalek has decided to resume training tomorrow, Wednesday, at the club's stadium, without taking a break in preparation for the upcoming match against Smouha in the Egypt Cup.
Zamalek is preparing to face Smouha on Saturday in the quarter-finals of the Egypt Cup, scheduled for 9:30 PM at Cairo International Stadium.
It is noted that the match between Al Ahly and Zamalek was scheduled to take place at 9:30 PM on Tuesday at Cairo International Stadium, as part of the first round of the championship determining phase (Group A).
