Al Ahly Threatens to Withdraw from the Egyptian League
Al Ahly Club has requested to postpone its match against its rival Zamalek in the Egyptian Premier League, scheduled to take place this evening, Tuesday.
Al Ahly threatened to withdraw from the Egyptian League if their match against Zamalek is held with Egyptian refereeing, in order to ensure greater fairness in the competition, according to the statement.
Al Ahly demanded that this match be postponed until the decision of the Professional Clubs Association to hold the match with a foreign refereeing team is adhered to.
The club emphasized in its strongly worded statement that it will not continue in the competition if its demands for a foreign refereeing are not met.
