Al Ahly threatened to withdraw from the Egyptian League if their match against Zamalek is held with Egyptian officiating to ensure greater fairness in the competition, according to the statement.
Al Ahly demanded that this match be postponed until the commitment to the decision of the Professional Clubs Association to hold the match with a foreign officiating team is adhered to.
The club emphasized in its strongly worded statement that it will not continue the competition if its demands for the match to be officiated by foreign referees are not met.
