Saudi Race to Sign Al Ahly Player in Summer Transfers

Monday 10-03-2025
The rivalry between Saudi clubs Al-Fateh and Al-Riyadh has intensified for the signing of Malian midfielder Aliou Diang during the upcoming summer transfer window, following his impressive performances in the Saudi league this season.

Diang joined Al-Khulood on loan from Al Ahly for $300,000, showcasing exceptional skills that have caught the attention of major clubs in the kingdom.

Al Ahly has received official offers through the player's agent, as both Al-Fateh and Al-Riyadh are keen on securing him on a permanent contract, setting the price at $4 million to finalize the deal.

Swiss coach Marcel Koller decided to loan Diang at the beginning of the season to give him a better chance to play regularly and regain his form after a period of decline.

Given his outstanding performance, the planning committee led by Mokhtar Mokhtar wishes to bring Diang back to participate with the Red team in the Club World Cup, placing his future between two options: a return or a move to Saudi professionalism?
