Al-Qiai Sparks Controversy Over Zizo Joining Al-Ahly
Adli Al-Qiai, the former head of the football company at Al-Ahly Club, commented on Zizo's renewal requests with Zamalek and discussed the possibility of the player joining Al-Ahly.
The player's name has recently been linked to a transfer to Al-Ahly, especially after failing to reach an agreement with Zamalek for renewal.
Adli Al-Qiai said on "On Sport" radio: "What do you think of Zizo's requests for renewal with Zamalek? I haven't heard and I don't know he asked for 100 million, but that’s a shocking number. By what right does Egyptian football pay that much?"
He added: "The player sees himself worth 100 million, and I can only offer him 30 million. As Adli Al-Qiai, I say let’s see if we can find a few coins behind him; I have my own problems to solve."
He continued: "Do you want him in Al-Ahly? That’s not my decision, and any answer would be inappropriate. But the player I want in Al-Ahly should be of quality, commitment, and a star on his own, not just someone who demands his rights from me."
He added: "Zamalek treats Zizo as if he is in a place where no one is beside him; if he comes to Al-Ahly, he will have support. If he’s good, welcome to him. Only God knows if he will be in Al-Ahly or not."
