Referee Assigned for Barcelona vs Benfica Clash in Champions League
UEFA has announced the appointment of French referee François Letexier, 35 years old, to officiate the match between Barcelona and Benfica in the second leg of the Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League, scheduled to take place on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at the Montjuïc Stadium.
This will be the second time Letexier has officiated a Barcelona match, having previously managed the Catalan team's encounter against Borussia Dortmund in the group stage this season, which ended with a 3-2 victory for the Catalans away from home.
As for Benfica, Letexier has officiated one match for the Portuguese team in the UEFA Europa League during the 2017/2018 season, which saw Benfica win 3-0 against Belgian side Standard Liège.
