Abdulghani Shahd: We Deserved a Better Result Against Al-Zawraa

Abdulghani Shahd, the coach of Al-Najaf team, expressed his dissatisfaction with the loss against Al-Zawraa with a score of 2-1, confirming that the team deserved a better result, especially after the strong performance they displayed in the second half.

Shahd said, "We entered the match cautiously, and Al-Zawraa capitalized on some mistakes in the first half to score two goals. In the second half, we imposed our control and were closer to scoring, but the small details worked against us."

He added, "The penalty kick in the final minutes brought us back into the game, and we were close to equalizing, but luck was not on our side. The team delivered a great match, and we will work on correcting the mistakes in the upcoming matches."

He concluded his remarks by affirming that Al-Najaf will continue to fight in the league, pointing out that the team possesses good capabilities and is capable of competing.
