Inter Milan Seeks to Modify Marcus Thuram's Contract

Saturday 08-03-2025
Inter Milan is planning to modify the contract of its French forward Marcus Thuram in the upcoming period, aiming to remove the release clause set at 85 million euros, to ensure the player's longer stay with the team.

According to "La Gazzetta dello Sport," the current contract of the French star runs until 2028, but Inter Milan wishes to amend some of its terms to maintain full control over his future and prevent any club from activating the release clause without the club's consent.

Thuram is considered one of the team's standout players, earning 6 million euros annually, which Inter is looking to increase, making his salary surpass those of team stars Hakan Çalhanoğlu and Nicolò Barella.

Since joining Inter Milan in the summer of 2023 from Borussia Mönchengladbach, Thuram has delivered outstanding performances, participating in 35 matches across all competitions this season, scoring 15 goals and assisting 4, totaling 2352 minutes of play.

Inter Milan continues to work on securing the future of its stars, and modifying Thuram's contract is a crucial step in maintaining the team's stability and enhancing its competitive strength both domestically and in Europe.
