Referee Expert Confirms: Al-Ittihad Deserved a Penalty
Fahd Al-Mirdasi, the referee analyst for SSC channels, confirmed that the referee of the Al-Ittihad vs. Al-Qadisiyah match held yesterday (Thursday) made a mistake by not awarding a penalty to Al-Ittihad.
The match between Al-Ittihad and Al-Qadisiyah, which took place yesterday as part of the 24th round of the Saudi league, ended in a 1-1 draw.
Al-Mirdasi emphasized that N'Golo Kante, the star of Al-Ittihad, deserved a penalty in the 84th minute after Jihad Zakhri, a player from Al-Qadisiyah, placed his foot in front of him inside the penalty area.
Al-Ittihad currently occupies the top spot in the league table with 58 points, while Al-Qadisiyah is in third place with 51 points.
