
All You Need to Know About the Competition Phase for the Egyptian League Title
Nine teams have secured their qualification for the competition phase for the Egyptian League title this season, following the conclusion of the first round of the tournament.
According to the new system of the Egyptian League, the top 9 teams in the first round standings will qualify for the title competition phase in a league format.
The qualified teams will play 8 matches each.
Meanwhile, the teams ranked from 10th to 18th will be in the relegation battle group, where only two teams will be relegated to the second division instead of three teams.
Under the new tournament system, the number of matches has been reduced, allowing each team to play only 25 matches instead of the 34 matches that were previously in place in past seasons.
The teams qualified for the title competition are:
1- Pyramids – 42 points
2- Al Ahly – 39 points
3- Zamalek – 32 points
4- Al Masry – 30 points
5- National Bank – 29 points
6- Ceramica Cleopatra – 24 points
7- Farco – 23 points
8- Petrojet – 22 points
9- Haras El Hodood – 22 points
