Flick: We Played Smart, Proud of the Players

Barcelona coach Hans Flick appeared in a press statement after the victory over Benfica with a score of 1-0 in the Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League.

The coach said in his remarks: "I am very proud of the players. It was a fantastic performance from the team."

He added: "I think we played smartly, we had a great goalkeeper today, and he was fantastic for us. We defended as one team, and that is what matters. I am happy for him."

He continued: "Do you think Pedri deserves the Man of the Match award? He is at an incredible wild level, we are happy for him."

Regarding the substitution of Dani Olmo after the red card for Koubarsi: "What did Olmo say to you, and was he desperate? This is what happens, you have to make choices, it wasn't related to him or his performance, but it was just tactical adjustments. I believe we made the right changes in the match."
