Newcastle Determines Its Position on Selling Isak

Wednesday 05-03-2025
Newcastle United has made its final decision regarding the future of Alexander Isak, firmly rejecting any sale of the Swedish striker during the summer transfer window of 2025, despite interest from top European clubs, including Barcelona and Liverpool.

According to the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo", Barcelona has identified the 25-year-old Isak as one of its main targets to strengthen its attacking line, due to his high scoring abilities and skill in playing on the wings.

However, Newcastle's management is not considering selling him, as confirmed by the club's executive director, Darren Eales, in media statements, stating: "We aim to compete at the highest levels, and we want to keep our best players. The ongoing talk about Isak proves his value, but we do not wish to sell any player."

He added: "All our players have long-term contracts, and we are not under any financial pressure to sell them. The club's owners have big ambitions, so it would be crazy to think about his departure.

Isak is having an exceptional season with Newcastle United in the Premier League, having played 24 matches, scoring 19 goals, and assisting 5 for his teammates.
