Police Secures Derby Victory Over Al-Student with a Brace

The police team clinched the Baghdad derby against Al-Student with a well-deserved victory with a score of (2-0) in the 22nd round of the Iraqi Stars League.

The match started cautiously from both sides, with both teams exchanging attacks without any real threat to the goal in the early minutes.

As the first half approached its end, the police managed to break through Al-Student's defense through 'Mohannad Ali,' who scored the opening goal in the 45+3 minute during the stoppage time, giving his team the advantage before heading into the break.

In the second half, Al-Student attempted to come back and intensified their efforts, but they faced a severe blow with the red card shown to 'Karrar Amer' in the 84th minute, complicating the elegant team's task of returning to the match.

The police took advantage of the numerical disadvantage and pressed Al-Student's goal until they were awarded a penalty in the 91st minute, successfully converted by the Syrian 'Mahmoud Al-Mawas,' confirming the victory for the police with a second goal that ended Al-Student's hopes of a comeback.
