Kohler Requests the Return of Abdel Moneim to Al Ahly

Tuesday 04-03-2025
Swiss coach Marcel Kohler of Al Ahly is still insisting on the return of Mohamed Abdel Moneim, the team's former player and current Nice player, during the upcoming summer transfer window on loan, to strengthen the team's lineup for the FIFA Club World Cup next June.

According to press reports, Kohler has asked the club's management to intensify negotiations with their counterparts at Nice to loan Mohamed Abdel Moneim to participate with the team in the FIFA Club World Cup next June.

Kohler's request for Abdel Moneim's return stems from the fact that the player possesses immense potential and has not been compensated for his absence despite the signing of Moroccan duo Achraf Dari and Mustafa El Ash in the summer and winter transfer windows.

Mohamed Abdel Moneim joined Nice last summer on a 5-year contract after leaving Al Ahly.

On the other hand, press sources indicated that Mohamed Abdel Moneim is open to returning to Al Ahly to participate in the FIFA Club World Cup, but Nice opposes this due to the team's preparations for the new season, which conflict with the timing of the Club World Cup.
