According to the Spanish newspaper "Sport", Omar Hilali, the right-back of Espanyol, has become a prominent option for Barcelona's management due to his impressive performance and reasonable financial cost, as he has a release clause of only 15 million euros.

The club's sporting director, Deco, believes that Hilali possesses strong defensive capabilities that align with Barcelona's playing style, and he is also a future option that can provide support to the defense alongside Koundé, who currently occupies this position.

Hilali has delivered outstanding performances this season and has successfully caught attention with his strong defensive play, especially in matches against Real Madrid, where he managed to limit the threats posed by Vinícius Júnior, Kylian Mbappé, and Rodrygo. He also contributed offensively with two assists against Valladolid and Real Madrid.
